We're thrilled to announce our newest client partnership with the Globus Family of Brands:
Denver, March 2, 2010 – Group Voyagers, Inc. has hired Denver-based advertising agency Cactus (www.sharpideas.com) to grow its family of brands including Globus, Cosmos, Monograms and Avalon Waterways through integrated advertising, branding, design, digital, media, print and production services.

Cactus’ Ideas Recognized with Five Denver 50 Awards |

Last Thursday, our work was recognized by the Denver 50 with five awards for ideas including Own Your C 2.0, The Cigarette is Dead, a poster campaign for the Denver Center Theatre Company and TV spots for CDPHE's secondhand smoke campaign and Colorado Lottery's Scratch ticket campaign. These ideas were chosen from more than 150 submissions from 37 agencies along the Front Range.
National creative directors Rick Boyko, Managing Director of Virginia Commonwealth University Ad Center and former CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, Joe Duffy, Founder of Duffy & Partners (Minneapolis), and John Vitro, Partner and ECD at VitroRobertson agency (San Diego, Los Angeles) chose the 50 best ideas to come out of the market in the last 20 months.

Cactus brings home Gold from ADCD show |
Out of 100 finalists, Cactus' work was recognized with nearly half the awards – six Gold, five Silver, 13 Bronze and 16 Merit awards – at the annual Art Directors Club of Denver (ADCD) Awards Show last Friday.
The winning entries, chosen from among 425 submissions, recognize the best Colorado creative for 2008-2009. For the third year in a row, our Own Your C TV spots have received Gold awards.

The good news keeps on comin'.
Voting for Own Your C in the Adobe MAX Awards is still open. Vote here. And, this week we announced that Summer has been promoted to senior account executive and Meg has been promoted to associate account executive. Congrats.
Here's the scoop:
Since joining Cactus in 2006, Hershey has demonstrated leadership in client service for accounts including the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming, Colorado AIDS Project, Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant and The GLBT Center of Colorado, and campaigns for the State Tobacco Education & Prevention Partnership (STEPP) at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) including Own Your C, Quit Doing It and The Cigarette is Dead. In her new role as senior account executive, Hershey will direct strategy and implement campaigns for CDPHE, the Office of Suicide Prevention and Winter Park Resort accounts. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Colorado State University in Fort Collins.
Wohlschlaeger joined Cactus last year as an account coordinator to support client programs for STEPP, University of Colorado Hospital, Westwood College and Women’s Wellness Connection. As associate account executive, she will also provide account management for Colorado Lottery and Denver Center Theatre Company. Wohlschlaeger graduated summa cum laude from Saint Louis University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, with a major in marketing and minor in international business.
