Ask not what you can do for Twitter, but what can Twitter do for you? |
I came across these interesting ways in which marketers of all kinds are providing services through Twitter.
If you’re looking for a way to quit smoking, then Qwitter might be helpful (in addition to FixNixer
or the QuitLine, of course). The app helps you track trends of your smoking habit over time, including how much cash you're throwing away.
Don't have a green thumb? You can now use Twitter to make sure your plants get enough water . This bizarre set-up will let you know when your plants need water and it will thank you later once their thirst is quenched.
Yup, it's true. Even strippers are hopping on the social media bandwagon. This service lets you do exactly what it says: askastripper. Users have the opportunity to ask a stripper anything, including questions about the intricacies of their job.

ART & COPY reveals the stories behind and the personal odysseys of
some of the most influential advertising visionaries of our time and
their campaigns, including Lee Clow (Apple Computer 1984, and today’s
iPod); Dan Wieden (“Just Do It”); Phyllis K. Robinson (who invented the
“me generation” with Clairol); Hal Riney (who helped President Reagan
get re-elected); and George Lois (who saved MTV and launched Tommy
Hilfiger overnight).
Directed by Doug Pray (HYPE! SCRATCH), ART & COPY captures the
creative energy and passion behind the iconic campaigns that have had a
profound impact on American culture. Featuring rare interviews with the
aforementioned industry legends, the film seeks to identify the
elements that transform an slogan into a pop culture catch phrases.
The movie was filmed and edited during a four-year period and had an
unusual source for its funding -- The One Club, a non-profit
organization dedicated to the craft of advertising headquartered in New
York.
Watch the inteview with the director above, and check out the mouth-watering movie trailer here.

Yo Comments Are Whack! |
What do you do to kill some time over the holiday break? Most of us use the time to veg and indulge in unproductive activities (eating, sleeping, lounging, etc) with family and friends.
But, our very own (and now famous) art director, Allie, produced a video with her sister that is now a featured video on the front page of YouTube with nearly 300,000 views and more than 7,000 comments. In Yo Comments Are Whack! sisters Allie and Lizz "throw down some rhymez in response to the
phenomenon of YouTube haters and their whack comments."
Allie will be signing autographs all week.
