Detention Finals at Ruby Hill |
The Detention Finale at Ruby Hill last Friday was a blast. Ninety students qualified in the Detention prelims to compete in the final throwdown for the titles of King and Queen of the Rails. A free concert by The Photo Atlas, burritos from Wahoo's, board waxing from Purl Wax and tons of free giveaways were perks for everyone who attended.
The biggest winner of the event? Own Your C. Detention helped us reach high school students, their friends and family, not to mention thousands of Coloradoans who heard about the event online or on TV, in a meaningful way. Detention was a great platform to build brand awareness for the Own Your C campaign and to talk to teens about making wise choices in a fun, non-threatening environment. And, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, who funds the campaign incidentally, was thrilled that we were encouraging fun physical activity in the process.
