Death comes for the art director
Senior art director Matt Chiabotti took time out to relax with two
soul-stealers on the set of our latest Colorado Lottery TV shoot. We
can't give away the spot, but let's just say their performance was
deadpan. They totally killed. Get it? Funny! (Side note:
We're sorry to report the copywriter on the shoot was killed
horrifically in a freak craft services/Sterno accident. But at least he
died doing what he loved -- eating catered lunches.)
Take a sneak peek at our new commercial for the Colorado Lottery - behind-the-scenes photos posted on our Flickr gallery. The campaign for Colorado Lottery's newest game, MatchPlay, launches this weekend. Keep your eyes peeled for TV, online, outdoor, radio, retail and more.
Cover! The "Bomb Squad" will be coming to a TV near you.
A couple weeks ago, Cactus shot the first of many spots for the Colorado Lottery "Luck Happens" Scratch campaign at Denver Place. The spot was directed by Matt Pittroff of Twist, based in Minneapolis, and is set to air August 10.

Sharing the love of a Westwood College TV shoot
We just wrapped up two new :60 spots for Westwood College with our dear friends at Fueld Films and DP Doug Chamberlain. Needless to say, after five 12-hour days of hard work on the shoot, we were ready to blow off some steam. This video (via Fueld) pretty much sums up the love triangle of Cactus, Fueld and Westwood... Enjoy. And thanks again to everyone for such a fun and productive week shooting in Austin.
Credits: In the vid, you will see Lara and Kristina, our clients at Westwood; Ben, Brady and Doug from Fueld; and the Cacti team of Matt, Brian, Amy, Danielle and yours truly.
