| Written by Miranda Parker, on Thursday.03.13.08 True, Clyfford Still was a brilliant painter. Is it fair, though, to label the American Abstract Expressionists as sucking? Those who suck? Monarchs of suckdom? How is it possible to stand in front of Pollock's "Male and Female" or to view in person any of Motherwell's Elegies without feeling the weight of their genius? Breathtaking, really. Good blog though. |
