Said the Gramophone: fresh food for my ears |
 Working in a large room with three other creatives at Cactus can be a bit cacaphonic at times. When there are three different conversations going on in the same room, and Danielle’s yelling at Jeff about the conference call he needs to be on, and Kris is paging Chris over the intercom because his wife is on the phone, well, sometimes the only way to stay sane is to slap on the ole’ ear-goggles and tune it all out.
This insatiable need for sonic serenity means I am constantly on the
hunt for fresh food for my ears. For this I thank our good friends to
the north who run the daily mp3 blog, Said the Gramophone .
Not only do Sean, Jordan and Dan have impeccable taste in music, but
they are also immaculate pensmiths. Each day you can expect them to
deliver a song (or two) accompanied by a loving and often poetic
description that captures the wonder of a child discovering the world
for the first time.
