Lost and FFFFOUND! |
As a designer I find that I am constantly being influenced by the mediated world around me. Every time I walk out my door I can’t help but ingest the world of shapes, colors, letters, messages and images that surrounds. This is the raw material that becomes grist for the creative mill.
Thanks to ffffound.com (that’s found with four Fs) this process of gathering aesthetic inspiration can continue whole-heartedly from the comfort of my own desk. Ffffound is a loose community of bloggers who post images, and nothing but. It is a veritable candy store of visual stimuli ranging from foreign postage stamps, to contemporary illustration, to fashion photography, to vintage book jacket design and more. And, in classic web 2.0 style, the site can learn wht types of images you like and recommend more.
Personally, I like to keep my preferences unaccounted for, thus
ensuring a new surprise everytime I visit. Below are a few of my recent
favorite ffffinds.
