Kombucha, fermented tea mixed with various flavors, is a Chinese tea that is thought aid in digestion and the health of spleen. It gained popularity amongst our art directors and copywriters much in the fashion those really sour candies were all the rage in elementary school. During a typical work week, we get to hear about the different flavors and the tastes available at The Vitamin Cottage: "Sick man, this green machine is f$&C(n rank." Surprisingly, the name kombucha is a misnomer, according to wikipedia . Kombucha is a Japanese word referring to tea made from kelp. The correct term would be kocha-kinoko, which literally means "black mushroom tea" because the fermentation process creates a black mushroom like blob.
