| 12.06.07: The Denver 50 elevates Denver's national profile |
Cacti at The Denver 50 Show at the Exdo Event Center.Last night the New Denver Ad Club (NDAC) unveiled Denve's best work at The Denver 50 Show. Congrats to the NDAC board for pulling off an amazing show. And props for securing such an impressive panel of judges. The Denver 50 "ideas" and the book that showcases them include a pretty impressive collection of work. While Denver has produced good work for years, with the help of the NDAC (the phoenix rising out of the ashes of the old DAF) we're making progress in being recognized as an advertising hotbed on a national level. We (at Cactus ) are extremely honored to be awarded with 11 of The Denver 50 ideas. Our winning ideas include: "No Brakes" TV spot, Blue Cross Blue Shield "FixNixer " tobacco cessation tool, State Tobacco Prevention & Education Partnership (STEPP) "ONE Step" outdoor billboards, STEPP "Own Your C" TV spots and online advertising, STEPP "Own Your C" cessation tools, STEPP "Own Your C" viral campaign, STEPP "ownyourC.com" Web site, STEPP "Quit Doing It" viral campaign, STEPP "Relocation Joe" direct mail promotion, Move Management "SmokeFree Colorado" outdoor billboards, STEPP "Sticky Notes" print and outdoor advertising, The Children's Hospital Maybe it's because we too believe it's all about the ideas we generate. We believe that sharp ideas are at the root of really great work. And not just work that looks pretty and wins awards. But work that really makes an impact for our clients. Work that helps people quit smoking or generates money to protect Colorado open space. We are so lucky to have such a talented group of folks who work here and it seems our chemistry has been right to cook up really strong conceptual ideas. While we work with client partners and creative talent far beyond the borders of Colorado, we're proud to be involved in anything that helps elevate Denver's profile in the national ad community.
