Knudson ads in Communication Arts |
 Communication Arts' online Exhibit section is featuring our print campaign for Knudson Manufacturing, Inc. The print edition of CA will also feature the work in the May/June issue.
Knudson makes machines that roll-form metal into gutters, studs and roofing panels. Sexy, we know. Fortunately for us, they'd already built a solid reputation through their leadership and innovations in the roll-forming industry. They make solid machines that are built like tanks and last for decades. Problem was, Knudson had been quiet from a marketing standpoint for a few years and people began to wonder if the manufacturer had fallen on hard times.
Our campaign had to restate Knudson's status as a major player and
embody their leadership and toughness in tone and design. We created
simple vignettes that tell it like it is, in an engaging way. We speak
the language of our audience, with stories about how a single Knudson
machine can be relied upon to last, and help them achieve their life's
goals.
Our client was excited to see the mention in CA. However he's not
excited that he's "now faced with the personal challenge of being know
as the less-than-sexy client.”
