Two talented Cacti recognized
We've always known we have some of the best talent the biz working at Cactus, but sometimes it's nice to get noticed by other industry folk. Last week, The Denver Egotist recognized Jeff Strahl and Chris Cox for their artisitc talents. Chris also got a nice write-up in Juxtapoz last Friday. You can check out Jeff's work on his online gallery and Chris's work on his blog, Change the Thought.
Our Own Your C youth tobacco prevention campaign made the front page of the Akron Bugle (New York) and the evening news on WGRZ-TV, the Buffalo NBC affiliate. I couldn't sum it up better than Matt in our office, "This reminds me of that old advertising truism: Once you blow up in Akron, the world is your oyster."
Cactus is in Akron shooting an Own Your C TV spot called "Boomerang" that will debut in Colorado in October. The spot will also be posted online at ownyourC.com. Check back soon for behind-the-scenes photos of the shoot.
Thanks to the talented Spy Films , the production company, and George Vale, the director.
For the first spot, we enlisted the help of one of our favorite directors, and an all around wonderful person, Lena Beug. We flew Lena and a few other key personnel in from New York and shot the spot here in Denver. It’s a nice treat to get to sleep in your own bed on the nights before and after a shoot.
To get the proper perspective, our actor had to stand on a ladder.
Our Friday got a lot more interesting when we were involved in a hit and run on the way back from a meeting with our client from Knudson Manufacturing.
Heather's car took quite a beating, but forturnately we're all okay. Thanks to DPD and DFD for giving us a hand. And thanks to Lisa for giving us a ride back to the office.
