Social networking for ad geeks |
Social networking has taken off far beyond sites like Facebook and MySpace. From animal-lovers, to business people, to gear-heads, today there's a social networking site for every walk of life. You can read an expansive list of social networking sites on wikipedia.
Today I discovered two social networking sites for folks in the ad industry: AdGabber and AdHoles. AdGabber is a product of Adrants and claims to be a social network for like-minded individuals in advertising, marketing and media. It has about 600 members. Founded in 2004, AdHoles has over 5,000 members and claims to offer what's great about blogs and what's addictive about social networks to allow people to schmooze without expensive restaurant tabs.
Are they good networking resources for advertising geeks? I'm still updating my profiles on each and learning how they work. I'll post an update when I have more experience with them.
