Growing Greener Cacti |
 At Cactus , I've started sending periodic emails with simple things we can all do to be a little greener around the office and at home. I thought the blog would be another good forum to share my tips for green living. Personally, I’m a big believer in the idea of many people making small changes to create a larger impact.
That being said, I thought I’d kick things off with a simple visual of what materials Denver currently recycles and that you can put in the nice blue and purple recycling bins provided by the City. The main thing to remember is to take the lids off of your drink bottles before recycling, and don’t include any plastic bags. If the city collectors notice an abundance of these contaminants, they can refuse recycling service and may take our recycling and dump it right in the trash.
So check out the picture, and the next time you go to toss that can or bottle into the trash, take a little walk to the blue bin instead. Better yet, skip the bottled water and reuse a glass.
