Before the holidays, we shot our newest spot for the Colorado Lottery at Shea Stadium in Highlands Ranch. It's not a coincidence that the stadium was actually funded with Lottery proceeds.

11.08.07: Colorado Millionaire TV commercial

This week, Cactus launched a TV spot for Colorado Lotteryâ€™s Colorado Millionaire $20 Scratch game. Cactus worked with @radical.media and director Rosey to create a really cool commercial that highlights a game with amazing potential â€“ Colorado Millionaire will be the first Colorado Lottery Scratch game to offer a $1 million prize.

11.05.07: Fight for equality. Live to appreciate it.

One of our clients at Cactus is the GLBT Center. They've charged us with promoting Link (a program connecting the GLBT population to health providers that understand and are sensitive to the needs of the GLBTQI community) and educating the GLBT community about specific health risks.

After extensive qualitative research of the GLBT population, we found ourselves a bit perplexed. How do you effectively craft a single healthy living campaign to encompass what effectively breaks down to a variety of distinct sub-populations, each with different motivations for staying healthy or accessing healthcare?

10.30.07: Boomerang TV shoot

Sometimes you come up with ideas that exist in an alternative reality, where fantastical things need to happen to convey your concept. Things that don't necessarily jive with the laws of physics or gravity. Then you're like, "Sweet, how the hell are we going to do that?" Well, Spy Films is how we're going to do that.

We tapped Spy, and their super nice and thoughtful Director/DP George Vale, to collaborate on our latest, action-packed "Own Your C" spot, Boomerang. And they came through for us, managing to do the impossible.

08.28.07: On the set of Own Your C "Genie" TV shoot

This year Cactus is unleashing three new TV spots to continue our eclectic â€œ Own Your C â€ youth anti-smoking campaign for STEPP.

For the first spot, we enlisted the help of one of our favorite directors, and an all around wonderful person, Lena Beug. We flew Lena and a few other key personnel in from New York and shot the spot here in Denver. Itâ€™s a nice treat to get to sleep in your own bed on the nights before and after a shoot.
