Random Act of Cell Phone Arrives from Minnesota |
Storks deliver babies, the internet delivers information, juries deliver verdicts and apparently FedEx distributes packages with anonymous brand new cell phones.
When Cactus went to the National Conference on Tobacco or Health last week to show off our innovative tobacco cessation programs such as Own Your C and FixNixer
we hoped to come back with some great ideas. While we came back with some great ideas, a perplexing package arrived yesterday along with conference materials; a brand new yet-to-be-activated cell phone.

Cactus Baby Boom |
Ok, here I am on my last day before I leave to have my second child. I can't believe it's already here but I am definitely ready to "release the beast" as a coworker phrased it. As I begin to think about my impending maternity leave, I thought it only right to share some details about the current Cactus Baby Boom.
As of today (unless anyone is holding back the news) we have four preggers including myself. This includes a media buyer (her first, a boy), an account director (his first, a girl) and an art director (his second, ... no I won't tell the secret of the sex). Plus, one of our copywriters just had a little girl in December. Now you may be thinking, wow five babies, that's not that many. But if my mathematical calculations are correct, in an agency of 23 that's 20% of our staff.
I'm not sure what is causing this boom. Many have speculated that the water may be to blame, but I am hesitant to jump to that conclusion. I suspect it may be due to our inability to use protection. Regardless of the reason, we are thrilled to be welcoming so many more members to the Cactus family.
Stay tuned for the follow up once the babies actually arrive.
